Concrete Garage Floor Paint
Painting a garage may require concrete garage floor paint if you want your floors to be free of stains. This paint
will give your garage a complete makeover and prevent deterioration. Besides, you will save the money on costly floor repairs later
on.
If you go to any good mechanic's shop, you will notice that concrete garage floor
paint has been used to keep the floor looking spic and span. Moreover, this is one project you can easily handle yourself. This will
save a lot of money and you will be able to gain some knowledge about paints and cleaners.
Apart from the concrete garage
floor paint, you will need primer, paint rollers, paintbrushes, bleach, stiff bristle brushes, and eye protection and rubber gloves.
With all the necessary materials in place, you can now begin the actual painting job. An important point to remember is that these paints
often produce harmful chemicals and they may harm your eyes and hands. Also, if you have breathing problems, be very careful about the
ventilation. Keep the entire space airy. Keep your goggles and gloves on to prevent the corrosive chemicals from harming
you.
Start with your concrete garage floor paint job. Check for any peels or
cracks on the floor. In case you notice that your garage floor has many deteriorating areas, get epoxy paint, which has tougher finish. Now,
clean the floor well. After sweeping the floor, use bleach or commercial cleaners to clean the driveway. Rinse the entire area next and then
repair any crack with the mortar repair compound. Once, it has dried, apply the primer throughout. After the primer dries completely, start
the actual paint job with the nylon brushes. Let the first coat dry for about a day and then check if there is a need for a second coating.
Two coats will be more than enough for the garage floor.
